Obviously musical instruments and recording equipment take up a lot of space in the home. So by investing in a bespoke garden studio, you can keep all of your expensive equipment safe, whilst you work away from the distractions of the home. They are also extremely convenient as you have the option of making music whenever you like. If you suddenly get an idea for a great riff in the middle of the night, you can simply pop out to your studio and record it without disturbing anyone else!
At Henley, our garden rooms have natural soundproofing due to the materials we use. But if you are specifying a dedicated garden recording studio, you will need to consider additional acoustic insulation. The materials we use vary with your budget, but all options are designed to block a wide spectrum of noise from escaping or entering your garden studio, using a whole range of different materials with a variety of thicknesses and densities.
We use different materials such as acoustic plasterboard and egg box foam, to line the walls. You can also place items like acoustic corner traps and wedges in the corners of your studio. These are specially designed to absorb sound at certain frequencies and can also help to sound proof your studio. We can also ensure your walls are insulated with a sound blocker membrane and acoustic laminate floor underlay to create a professional studio effect.
Windows & doors
Our recording studios do not usually have many windows, so you can easily specify blank panels, but we also supply acoustic glazing and curtains, if you have a need to use your Henley as say a garden room
Here at Henley you can see we offer a wide range of options for those looking to build music rooms in their gardens. Please get in touch for more information about sound proofing packages for amateur and professional alike
